Dark Skies

When we got up in the morning we looked outside and saw this....

It was not the first time that we have had a dark sky like this from our back yard.
During the big fires in Portugal in 2017, the sky in this area had a similar colour. This time we had been reading in the newspaper what to expect, so we were not totally unprepared.
It looks horrible, but it is a mixture of sand from the Sahara and smoke from the fires nearby. On the 3rd picture you can even see the sun (yellow ball) . The picture was taken in the afternoon around 16.30 hrs.
The 4th picture is a print screen of the alert we got on our phones, were we were asked to stay at home and inside, obviously we complied. Keeping the road free for emergency services is more important than a cup of coffee in Monforte, isn´t it? The dark sky only lasted one day, the next day the sky was clear and had a normal colour with a beautiful sun.
