Septic Tank

When we started living here our house did not have a drain or a pit for black and grey water.
Than meant that we had to install a new system which had to be approved and licened by the "Ministerio de Medio Ambiente". It wasn´t easy, but we got it done.
The licence is for ever and belongs to the house. It is next to impossible to build a whole sewer system for all the houses in this area in the future, every house needs to have its own instalation.
Having a septic tank means that you have to treat it with bacterias regularly so the waste is broken down to harmless liquids and gases.
Repsol does not only sell combustebles but is also licenced to "deepclean" septic tanks, so once every 3 years we call them over, and here are some photos to show you how it was done today.
